Working @ 100 Calories Per Hour
Added by Jon Drucker
Hi all! I went for the 725T + Fredrik combo treadmill desk recently. I love it. BUT.
The 725T is too weak, and the motor is potentially burning out. After 1 hour or so, the motor starts to smell. Very ugly. It also struggles to keep up with my 230 lbs and gets substantially slower when I start to walk on it. I am walking at ~1ish mi/hour right now. The other night, after using it for 3 hours, the motor started to grind un-naturally.
Clearly it is on its way out.
I am looking for a treadmill that I can use for low speeds indefinitely. I'll only be walking as I prefer to run outside. But I use the PC a lot for leisure, hence why I love the idea of walking on a treadmill.
What I want:
- Motor isn't struggling when I walk on it
- Motor isn't smoldering after a couple hours at low speeds
- Motor will last
- Am willing to spend up to 1K on a used treadmill
- Will never run on it.

I've been using my LifeSpan TR1200 DT for almost two months now and have none of the problems you mention. It cost me less than $1K new. I was about 225 pounds when I started and am down 5 or 6 since.
