Thanks!  I got the ideas about the Merit treadmill and IKEA desk here, from other posters.  I still have to figure out how to hide the cords, etc.  The desk was very easy to put together and the shelves can be mounted at any 4" interval on the side legs.  I put the middle (larger) shelf at my comfortable walking/typing height, then I had to finagle the top shelf a bit to allow enough room for the laptop to fit.  (It's actually mounted into the top of the side leg, then I "altered" the endcap to keep it secure.)  :-)

Hi Deanna, what's the noise level on your system? I work on the phone so need to have a very quiet set-up. Also can you set this treadmill to go very slowly?
