The New York Times has an article about a Minnesota school that uses standing desks in classrooms.
Dr. Levine has a couple of quotes, but it's mostly about how the kids have adapted to standing. They also have stools they can sit on, but they aren't seats.

I've created an office walker group at dailymile.com
This site lets you record your mileage each day. The only problem I've found is you can't enter mileage for a previous calendar year. You can add mileage for previous days, as long as they're in 2009.
