"Safeway's plan capitalizes on two key insights gained in 2005. The first is that 70% of all health-care costs are the direct result of behavior. The second insight,… Continue

NY Times on standing desks for schools

Hi Bill,

Glad to have you! What's it like living in paradise?

Are you able to work on the stair stepper? Can you post a pic of your setup?

The desk is a relic of a long gone director who had a back injury that prevented her from sitting for long periods. The new leadership wanted to trash it, but I insisted that we store it. A few months later, I learned of treadmilling at your desk and the light bulb went on! I traded my monolith of a desk in for a laughable dorm size desk (seriously, everyone truly laughs!) to sit beside the lift desk and purchased a tread from TreadDesk. The rest is history. I'm still trying to organize my office to find space for the files and folders I pulled out of the old desk, but I am LOVING the treadmill. My problem is pacing myself - but I'm working on it!

I'll be posting a picture soon.
