One Attorney's Treadmill Desk
Many people desire a fit and healthy body. It is easy to read through fitness magazines and websites and dream of a beach-ready figure. The demands of work and family often crowd out the hard part, finding time to actually exercise. It is even worse if you have a desk job where you tend to sit for hours on end and expend very…

The tour bus had removed my office from its route by the end of the second week. Still occasional visitors, but I'm not the freak show that I was the first week. Ahhh... nice. Next week, I'll be wishing for visitors again. That's just the way I am.
Walking and typing no longer feels unnatural. I've increased speed from last week's 0.7mph to 1.3 mph, and that feels pretty good. My friend Ellen recommended keeping the incline to 2% or less, so I checked, and was surprised to see I'd…

Beware of Treadesk Backorders without notification
FYI - Anyone who plans on ordering a Tread by Treadesk in the furture, please be aware of SEVERE backorders and changes to backorder status without notification. I ordered mine on Jan. 9 with a backorder ship date of mid February. Now they have pushed it to Late February, which means by the time it's delivered it could be 8 weeks or longer.
If you are one of the lucky few that received your Treadesk within a couple of weeks, you obviously got one that was a canceled order or they…

Figure that's due to my increase in hip-shifting to minimize head bounce. Sure is different walking slowwwwwly versus just taking a hike! I can already see that it's going to benefit my core muscles.
Took it easier Wednesday and Thursday -- only a few miles each day -- and by Friday I was gung-ho again. So the…

The Anti New Year Resolution
Have you made any resolutions for the new year?
I do not typically make resolutions and this year is no different (really). I started office walking in mid-November, so no need for an exercise resolution right now. I'm getting more exercise than I have in years.
However, over Christmas break I had a wild hair and read "…

Been at it about a week...
The first couple of days my ankles were a bit sore, but I must say - so far in about 7 workdays I have walked at least 35 miles (tracked daily by spreadsheet) and it is 35 miles I would not have walked with my butt in a chair :-)
So far so good...
Here's to a productive new year ON MY FEET! :-)
