Working @ 100 Calories Per Hour
It's hard for me to believe that I have completely changed my life by walking at work, but it has truly made that much of a difference for me after only one year.
I purchased both, the treadmill and adjustable height desk from Treaddesk about one year ago and have not stopped walking since. I average 1.5 mph throughout the day, but I change my speed all day long - anywhere from 1.2-1.8. I am approaching 1400 miles IN ONE YEAR.
I have lost a total of 34 lbs and am close to my target weight (which I really didn't think I would get close to based on the countless failures at every diet known to man). My legs are really toned now, I no longer have back pain and I get a lot more done because I am more focused and productive than when I was sitting all day.
In addition to the fabulous weight loss, my cholestrol and blood pressure have dropped and my overall health has improved dramatically. For those of you that are sitting on the fence and can't decide whether you should try this or not, I highly recommend it. The good lord did not make us to sit all day. Get up out of your chair and walk while you work.
